Usually, the husbands are too busy running their multi-million dollar businesses so the wives end up making all the non-business related decisions on their behalf.
It’s interesting what the wives of these wealthy individuals have to deal with on a daily basis. Appointments with renowned dermatologists despite having glowing and literally flawless skin, hair salon appointments to ensure their hair is immaculately styled at all times of the day, lunches with their private bankers to talk about investments, PR, purchase of landed property etc.
I was just having a conversation with JW yesterday about whether these wives could possibly be happy.
Being the woman behind a successful and wealthy man is certainly no mean feat. You have to be more than just a trophy wife.
Not only do you have to continuously maintain and enhance your beauty to compete with the bevy of young and beautiful ladies who throw themselves at your husband, you need to be able to keep your husband intellectually engaged as that is what sets you apart from all the other sweet young things. Imagine how stressful it is having to deal with all these insecurities.
I think I’ll be much happier leading a simple life, having leisurely strolls with my loved one at some of the most scenic places locally and overseas, as well as coffee breaks at cafe joints tucked among greenery, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
That, to me, is a life fulfilled.

A number of my colleagues decided to order Grilled Sirloin Steak. I love steak too, but I am not a fan of Hog’s Breath’s steak although it’s supposedly highly recommended. Hence, I decided to go for chicken instead (bad choice, bad choice, but that is not the point of this narrative).
We called for one of the servers to take our orders. Interestingly, one of my colleagues requested for a very exotic dish.
Server: “Mdm, what would you like to have?”
Colleague A: “Can I have one Groin Steak please?”
It was hilarious. Needless to say, the server was so embarrassed he was as red as a beetroot.
She blurted that out unwittingly of course (she actually wanted the Grilled Sirloin Steak hahaha), but inevitably, that unintended order of hers had made her the butt of our jokes. We were literally in stitches.
Moral of the story? Let your fingers do the talking – just point next time. π

I’ve been laying off foundation, loose powder and even blusher…basically anything with powder. I tried to put a little 2-way cake and blusher on Thurs and Fri, but my skin didn’t seem to like it very much.
So now, it’s back to just sunblock and a bit of concealer.I’d better not try putting on make-up on my very sensitive skin anymore. I’ll just stick to eye make-up and lipstick/lipgloss. π
