The Kingdom of Bahrain, also known as the kingdom of two seas.
We stayed at the Somerset Service Apartment in Bahrain. Our rooms were humongous! Each of us had a room that came complete with a living room, dining room, a kitchen two bedrooms and two bathrooms!! We touched down from Abu Dhabi at about 7pm, ordered delivery at 8pm, but the food only arrived at 10.30pm!! 
Thank goodness the food was very tasty. Bahrain is renowned for its seafood as it is located just next to the Persian Gulf. We ordered quite a feast for 4. Unfortunately, some of the dishes could not be captured in the photo.
I didn’t have much time to snap photos and most of the photos also included people who would not like to be featured on my blog, so that’s all for now!
This particular top is asymmetrical. It is longer at the back and shorter in front. It also has a cute tag line that reads “Officer, stop all these men but the tall handsome one from following me!!..”

We also ordered a dessert crepe dressed with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a scoop of chocolate ice-cream. I liked this very much as well, but I was more impressed with the savoury crepe.
The outfit for the day:
Light dusting of mineral powder and loads of eyeliner. I was quite ready to jump into bed by the time I reached home as I was really tired!!
A rare FOTD shot. I used to adore mascara, or sometimes falsies even, but I find them rather heavy on my eyes so I do without them these days. I am using EDM mineral powder, MM blusher, Bourjois liquid eyeliner and silkygirl black & white eyeshadow in this photo. Only after using these drugstore brands do I realize that they are actually pretty long-lasting and value-for-money. 🙂
On a more sombre note, Singapore has just discovered its first case of H1N1 today. Not surprising at all, given that we have such an open economy and are welcoming to all visitors. What is worrying though, is how much longer do we have to wait before it becomes an epidemic? Although it is apparently less potent than what experts thought and the recovery rate is high if medical treatment is administered on a timely basis, I can’t deny that this is a worrying trend especially since I am expected to travel over the next 2 months!
I haven’t been doing much this month as I was down with a really bad flu that lasted a grand total of 3 weeks. I still have so much phlegm in my throat that I wonder if I am a swallow incarnate.
Nonetheless, shopping still ranked high on my agenda as I went on a spree this month and am now feeling broke yet satisfied. I do spend within my means, so I am financially sound despite my spending habits. I could, and should save more though, but sometimes, giving yourself little treats does so much to lift one’s spirits.
