Chatterbox has become one of our favourite haunts for Hainanese chicken rice. While the meat may not be the most succulent, we both love the flavourful rice and ginger sauce. The soup is also one of the tastiest that I’ve come across.
We also like the huge servings. The servings are way larger than most chicken rice stalls, but that should probably come as no surprise given the exorbitant price tag.
It also wins hands down in terms of presentation. Check out the glistening chicken skin juxtaposed against thick slabs of dry chicken breast meat. Totally sinful but satisfying!
I’ve always been amused by how chicken rice stalls seemingly attempt to make the dish look healthier by strategically adding cucumber slices below the chicken meat. Well, in this case, it looks like when you pay more, you’ll get juicy cherry tomatoes as well!
